I am always doing something creative around the house or with my family but at Christmas time I kick it up a notch and decorate the house and make cards, ornaments and other festive STUFF! I have a crafty twin Lisa who by the way I look nothing like but we are craftily linked by the universe! I found a cute craft on Pinterest and sent it to her and the next week we got together to make some cute snowmen out of socks. They are quick and easy and would be a fun craft to do with your kids. All you need are some simple supplies from home or the dollar store.
Take a large sport sock and cut off the foot, keep the the cuff and tie off one end with an elastic. Turn inside out, Next fill the tube with rice , using a funnel helps. This forms the body of the snowman. When it's full tie off the end. Take colourful socks and cut them to create a tube for a sweater and the toe for a hat. Cut orange felt for nose, use yarn to tie around body and add buttons on the sweater and for the eyes. You put it all together and create a snowman family like these! Lisa and I had fun making them and laughed when we realised we were having a photo shoot for socks! Two crazy crafter's moving around the table taking pics from all sides!
