As a huge fan of gallery walls, I am always looking at different pieces to add to mine throughout the house. In my son's room we are grouping together pieces that mean something to him. Last year he got a record player and started listening to music in the way that I did as a teen. I know that was a long time ago!! He has a collection of albums and I thought it would be fun to put one of his favourites on display. I found the perfect frame for it at IKEA for only $9.99 ( Gladsax). I had seen them elsewhere but as is often the way, IKEA had the best price. Why not try it yourself just like these guys did. Red album frames from urbanoutfitters Restoration Hardware musical grouping You could also use the frames for photos, fabric or wallpaper samples. I also thought about framing an old t=shirt we just can't seem to throw away. As an alternative you can get these t-shirt shaped frames from Umbra. What's in a frame? That was the question and now you know the answer!

As a decorator at Sanctuary Paint and Decor- a Benjamin Moore store, I am surrounded by paint colours all day. Some are tried and true favourites others are new to me. Each year Benjamin Moore brings out a colour trends brochure highlighting their picks for the coming year. We finally have the brochures here in the store for 2014. Some I love, others not so much! In saying that of course we all have our style and taste so my faves may not be yours. Pop in to your closest store (hopefully ours!)and check them out and let me know.
