Everyone in my house knows I would love a new kitchen, even though I don't love to cook! My husband is the chef in our house and that's a good thing! However I do dream of a more stylish fresh space to pretend to cook. . . . My kitchen is ok , maple cabinets with extra detail like crown moulding and a decorative hood over the stove. But. . . the countertop has seen better days and I made a mistake with the backsplash bargain and have regretted it ever since! Haste makes waste as they say! I am learning slowly that if you wait to get the right thing you won't be disappointed. Now that's not always possible and sometimes we have to make do. Today's mid week must have for me are grey cabinets, white counters and classic white subway tile for the backsplash. Whether I end up with this remains to be seen. . . . . . .
Love this grey zebra wood with lots of white and glass. Add in the warmth of the wood floors to offset the cool tones.
Different " shades of grey" with white marble and other solid surface countertops.
Always a fan of classic white subway tile used sparingly or on a large scale like this great wall of tile. Love the old map too!
All white with pops of colour and warm wood tones make for a great kitchen.
