My inspration for today's post came from a trip to the movies with my daughter. The main characters from " The Vow" ( yes I watched it!! ) lived in a funky loft. I have always loved the idea of living in a converted warehouse loft, with the previous history combining with a new interpretation of it's space. The high ceilings, the open plan and the variety of textural surfaces. The brick, the pipes, the glass and the concrete. The possibilities to come when you find that perfect emptiness waiting to be filled with your personality and lifestyle. This type of home has character before you even begin to add your own touches of personality and comfort. Usually if you dream of this lifestyle you crave the open space so you don't usually divide it up too much, but practically you do need a bathroom, a kitchen and somewhere to sleep, relax and entertain guests who will clamor to see you unique home. There are ways to achieve all of this while keeping the integrity of the original building.. Take a long look at these great examples. . . . .
