Last weekend I was discussing with a client whose master bedroom I will be working on about making a gallery wall in the reading area she would like. This type of accent is a great way to add interest and make a focal point in a room that doesn't have one. You can either do a uniform collection of art or photographs or a collage of different sizes ,frames or media. In my client's case I am going to use family photos, mirrors and art painted by a family member to make their reading corner a personal and comforting spot to relax. Somewhere with meaning and interest. Here are some examples I found of gallery walls that could be in any of our homes. . . . .
Hanging a gallery wall can be done easily, I usually just wing it but that can result in your wall looking like it has been attacked by a machine gun! So some good ideas to use to make life easier are these below; kraft paper or newspaper templates laid out before on the floor then added to the wall to get the look you want.
A gallery wall can be a work in progress, gather items from around the house and add to it over time. It can also be rotated, change it up with the seasons, new memories, special events anything that means something to you.
