I am a huge fan of industrial design and one thing I love is vintage lighting. Beaten up metal, age and patina. Show me more, I say! Over the summer I came a cross a perfect example, an iron gooseneck desk lamp for only $5 at a salvage yard down East. I have since seen similar lamps priced up to the hundreds. I'm still researching to find out the exact history behind it but in the mean time I love having it sit in a prime spot on my desk. It adds a little character nestled between two new IKEA bookshelves. Old meets new always works in my book! Combining styles and eras creates layers and interest.
Check out these other fine examples of these adjustable, useful lights.
