I'm back with more Christmas! As there is no snow here yet I need to pump up the Christmas spirit by checking out what other people do all over the world and finish off with more pics of my place. Everyone has their own traditions and ways to celebrate at this time of year. Growing up and still today we would put up our tree for my birthday early in December and then take it down after my brother's birthday just after New Year. It was a silver tree that as a kid I thought was cool then as I got older not so much! Finally today I think they are modern and funky! We open our gifts on Christmas Day. We always had a stocking ( mum or dads sports socks) and a pillowcase both hung at the end of our bed. For my kids we have them at the fireplace. Later in the day after the Queen's speech- I am a Brit after all! we would have an extra gift on the tree, something small but meaningful. Passing on these important traditions keeps your family connected and ensures that nothing is ever forgotten. When you blend your families together you get twice the traditions and twice the fun! most of the time anyway....
