Well everybody this week I have a plan! I am going to make my office into a multi-purpose space. I am a big scrapbooker and card maker and have a basement dungeon craft room. I am tired of trying to inspire my creativity in a dark, dreary space and have decided to bring all my supplies up to the real world and use my office in another way. I guess I'm not doing enough work in it! I have some storage space but not really enough so a trip to IKEA is in order. Any excuse and I'm there. They have great reasonably priced shelves and containers. There are also purpose made craft storage items available at places like Michael's. However these can be more expensive so look around your home and use something you already own in a different way. I have cups and small plant pots I use for pens and scissors. Small items in ice cube trays and even a shoe holder for some supplies. Be creative and make your creative space fun and interesting! My room is a work in progress but as soon as it is open to the public I will post it! Until then check out these great examples. They are filled with colour, style and cool ideas.
Here is a closer look at some storage ideas, if you have any of your own let me know....

What great timing with this blog post! Jamie and a friend have just finished drywalling the ceiling in our family room and soon enough the decorating part will begin. FUN! I will definitely be making use of some of these great storage tips and visiting IKEA as well when I set up the corner of the room which acts as my office. Can't wait to see your room when it's completed!
