Guess what another week has flown by and I'm a week older and maybe wiser who knows! Today it's a quickie, I found some great side tables from a cool Scandinavian design company called Muuto. I was browsing through my favourite blog Decor8 and came across these colourful, simple and practical designs. Here we go . . . . . .
This week after looking at my tired patio furniture, I thought I would look at ways to spruce it up, spray painting came to mind as always with me! Then I thought about all the amazing outdoor fabrics out there and what could be done with them. So here goes this week's must haves- colourful, vibrant, durable and easy to clean outdoor fabric.

Recently I was out at a clients new home when I saw they had these amazing barn board beams on the dining room ceiling. It's a great rustic detail even in the most modern or contemporary space. You can leave the natural wood to contrast the rest of the ceiling or paint them out to blend in. The beams can follow the shape of the ceiling adding texture and architectural interest. I would love to add this is my home somewhere. I found these great spaces with their own beamed ceilings.
All white room with wooden beams bringing together the colour in the leather chair and accessories.
Following the theme of white walls and complimentary wood tones.
Softer wood tones, calming and soothing.
Guess what more white! Beams, window and door casings emphasizing the height and details.
High contrast with black beams making the connection to the iron railings.
White on white with added touches of sea grass and subtle tones.

Sometimes you find a cord inside a glass lamp base or hanging a pendant fixture or just a great vintage light bulb. Recently I noticed one of my regular local haunts Tin Barn Market ( shout out to Errin and Vicki!) is now selling some funky cord kits for all of us diyer's out there who would love to make our own lighting.
