This week after looking at my tired patio furniture, I thought I would look at ways to spruce it up, spray painting came to mind as always with me! Then I thought about all the amazing outdoor fabrics out there and what could be done with them. So here goes this week's must haves- colourful, vibrant, durable and easy to clean outdoor fabric. I love this pattern and great colour combos from etsyHow about re-covering your chairs and making tablecloths and a collection of cushions from Calico Corners.Creating an outdoor room could be as simple or as elegant as this one from Domino magazine.Think pink maybe and create this beautiful space to lounge and entertain.Do you have any outdoor projects you need to do? If so check out some of these great options and be creative.Recently I was out at a clients new home when I saw they had these amazing barn board beams on the dining room ceiling. It's a great rustic detail even in the most modern or contemporary space. You can leave the natural wood to contrast the rest of the ceiling or paint them out to blend in. The beams can follow the shape of the ceiling adding texture and architectural interest. I would love to add this is my home somewhere. I found these great spaces with their own beamed ceilings. All white room with wooden beams bringing together the colour in the leather chair and accessories. Following the theme of white walls and complimentary wood tones. Softer wood tones, calming and soothing. Guess what more white! Beams, window and door casings emphasizing the height and details. High contrast with black beams making the connection to the iron railings. White on white with added touches of sea grass and subtle tones. Sky blue nursery ceiling with white beams on walls and ceilings. Amazing shape for this dramatic hallway. Beam after beam. Finally a fabulous ceiling with beams, direction and varigated tones.. What do you think could you add this incredible addition to your ceiling?
